Every collection, artist, or exhibition possesses a distinct voice—a specific way of seeing the world.

Hi, I’m Dr. Matthew Pincus. I believe in partnerships, not one-size-fits all ‘packages.’ Let’s collaborate to translate your vision into a digital experience as exciting as the art on your walls.

Who is Matthew M. Pincus? Where can I learn more about you?

I’m Dr. Matthew Manly Pincus, a filmmaker and writer based in Oceanside, California. My background is rooted in the power of narrative and storytelling. I document local art exhibitions and making art history accessible as co-creator and director of the Art with Bob Pincus channel on YouTube. Visit my [About Page]. Is mobile filmmaking high-quality enough for us to use?

Yes. Modern 4K mobile technology has revolutionized how we capture high-end content. By using high-bitrate sensors and professional color grading, I deliver broadcast-quality 4K footage that looks incredible on any digital display—from gallery kiosks to smartphones. This nimble setup allows me to be more efficient, capturing the intimate details that larger, more intrusive crews often miss.

How do you our venue regulations for conservation and security?

Collection safety is my first priority. I work with a ‘zero-footprint’ mindset, meaning I don’t use high-heat lamps or heavy, unstable gear. My minimalist setup ensures your artifacts remain untouched and your security protocols are fully respected, all while adhering to strict conservation guidelines. Please share any policies and regulations I should be aware of for filming.

Can one filming session cover all our needs?

Most of the time one session is enough to capture everything we need. We’ll record all the video in a single, strategic session on location. Then, your video footage is edited in my Oceanside studio (with the help of my cats, of course). I ensure a consistent, high-quality voice across every touchpoint.

Does our space need to be closed for you to shoot?

My approach is designed to be flexible. Filming during operating hours is a great way to capture the ‘pulse’ and atmosphere of the visitor experience. However, if your vision requires a poetic, focused narrative about the art itself, we can coordinate a quiet session when the doors are closed to ensure total creative control.

What if I just need video editing?

I’m open to partnering with you on your video editing needs. Please get in touch at hello@mpstorytelling.com

We want to record our own videos, can you help us in the right direction?

I’m open to consultations and working with your team to strategize your video and content creation. Please get in touch at hello@mpstorytelling.com

Each collection, each art exhibition has a story that deserves its moment in the limelight. I’m here to help you translate your hard work into a digital experience that audiences can appreciate from anywhere online. Let’s find the right shot for your vision.
